We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Engineering (SE) Manager with a strong background in the security industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales engineer who has progressed into a managerial position and is prepared to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work. At our early-stage company, you will play a critical role in both leading a high-performing SE team and contributing directly to sales engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales engineers, fostering a high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to ensure team members achieve their goals and contribute to the company’s success.
  • Hands-On Technical Work: As a former standout sales engineer, you will initially engage in technical tasks and solutions, ensuring you stay close to the product and client needs while managing your team.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to align the SE team’s efforts with overall company objectives. Drive initiatives that support sales goals and optimize the sales engineering function.
  • Sales Metrics Analysis: Analyze sales performance metrics to gauge effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and refine strategies. Utilize data-driven insights to enhance team performance and drive better sales outcomes.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure that sales engineering processes and best practices are followed meticulously. Implement and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in pre-sales activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the security industry with a deep understanding of security solutions and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing sales engineering teams, particularly in early-stage or high-growth companies.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a track record of aligning team efforts with company objectives and delivering results.
