As a Security Researcher at Blockaid, you will be responsible for leading in-depth research into emerging blockchain threats and vulnerabilities and developing real-time detection and mitigation capabilities in close collaboration with our engineering and product teams.
Your Chain of Impact:
- Drive deep technical research into blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and decentralized applications to uncover novel threats.
- Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, exploits, and attack vectors across Web3 ecosystems.
- Build detectors, heuristics, and models; collaborate with engineering to integrate them into our real-time on-chain exploit detection system.
- Design PoC exploits and simulations to validate hypotheses and harden detections.
- Continuously track emerging threats, technologies, and best practices and translate insights into platform improvements.
Requirements
Your Chain of Strengths:
- 5+ years in security research with a strong track record of practical results.
- 3+ years of hands-on Python, including building research tooling and prototypes.
- Advanced SQL skills; comfortable writing complex queries on large datasets.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and traffic analysis.
- Analytical problem-solver with pattern-finding instincts and clear written/verbal communication.
- Bonus: Practical blockchain/smart contract security experience, relevant cryptography fundamentals, and comfort solving data-driven challenges.
