Full-time position – HQ in Tel-Aviv, Israel

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data to join our team in Tel Aviv. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will lead our data initiatives and drive the integration of business systems to enhance operational excellence. This pivotal role bridges our technical and business operations, leveraging data insights to inform product development and streamline processes across the organization.

In this role, you will wear two critical hats: firstly, overseeing company system integration and business intelligence to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency across all departments; secondly, leading R&D data initiatives to generate product-related insights that drive innovation and enhance our offerings. Your leadership will be instrumental in unifying our business systems (CRM, ERP, project management tools) and harnessing data to support both strategic business decisions and cutting-edge product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that supports both R&D product initiatives and business operations excellence.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to enhance our data processing capabilities.
  • Define and manage the integration of business processes across CRM (HubSpot), Project Management (Monday), ERP solutions (NetSuite), and other systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the R&D group to identify key product challenges and focus areas by analyzing collected data, driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Design and deploy a BI system to consolidate business, operations and product data, enabling clear reporting and strategic insights for company management.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing data team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the company’s data capabilities and scalability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in a senior data role (e.g., CTO, CDO, Data Architect) with a proven history of developing and executing data strategies involving Data Zones, Data Modeling, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, etc.
  • Strong background in software development, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver data projects from conception to execution, ensuring seamless integration across product and business systems.
  • Experience in designing and managing data warehouses and data lakes, as well as implementing BI reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors for optimal deliverables.
  • Familiarity with data governance strategies, data privacy regulations, and ensuring data quality and security.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling data initiatives in companies that involve operations alongside advanced R&D developments.
  • Strong experience with data technologies including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Hadoop; programming languages such as Python and SQL; data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift); ETL tools; and BI platforms like Tableau or Power BI, with a solid understanding of data governance and security practices.
