We’re looking for a valiant Lead PHP Developer to lead their own party of fearless developers into the depths of our codebase. This glorious quest is set to become a key part of our development team’s saga, and the bards will tell your tale for centuries.

As a Lead PHP Developer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our technical landscape, driving innovation, and contributing significantly to our mission of empowering in-game creators to build new professions. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our status as a market leader and ensuring the continued high performance and security of our platform. Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop robust PHP code to build new features of varying complexity.
• Investigate and resolve complex bugs while maintaining and refactoring existing codebases.
• Form a new sub-team to take ownership of a specific area of our vast codebase.
• Take the lead on hiring developers to join your new team.
• Mentor, guide, and manage new developers, perform code reviews, and lead technical discussions.
• Destroy the cursed PHP ring in the depths of Mount Tebex.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• 4+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel, with a deep understanding of various development approaches and design patterns.
• Proven experience mentoring and managing developers.
• High standards, attention to detail, and excellent planning skills.
• Proficiency in automated testing (PHPUnit, feature tests, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, receptive to feedback, and open to new ideas with a collaborative mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges.
• Strong, unwavering spirit, able to resist the tempting whispers of cursed rings.
