Piiano is a cutting-edge data security startup helping organizations manage and protect their sensitive customer data in applications. We build data protection infrastructure for developers and AppSec teams. Founded by second-time entrepreneurs and security experts Ariel Shiftan and Gil Dabah, we are backed by leading cybersecurity VCs and celebrated angel investors. We're disrupting enterprise data security.

Piiano provides a privacy Vault as a service. Customers use it to store sensitive information such as credit cards and SSNs (American social security ID). We are looking for an exceptional and passionate senior developer to work on our Vault SaaS platform.

You will work on the architecture, design and implementation of an innovative cloud based service and development infrastructure that will help developers secure their data. You will touch aspects of multi-tenancy, high availability, agility, security and more. The challenge is to build an efficient, robust and bullet proof solution since our infrastructure powers our customer mission critical services and any minute of downtime is critical. The Vault platform runs in multiple regions and with very strict SLA and reliability requirements.

The ideal candidate must have strong engineering background as well as an affinity to system programming in cloud environments. A big advantage for versatile candidates that are familiar with other domains (e.g. frontend, low level, security).

Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science/software engineering from a well-regarded university OR a comparable military experience from a well known technology unit
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing large software projects
  • Backend development experience using Python/Typescript or equivalent languages
  • Team player with a startup mindset

Advantages

  • Experience with large scale and distributed systems on one of the public clouds, preferably AWS
  • Experience with modern cloud native technologies and frameworks (K8s, Redis, Protobufs, etc.)
  • Real interest in product aspects
  • Experience with production systems that have tight SLAs

Extra Bonus

  • Knowledge of GO language
  • Familiarity with typescript and its ecosystem
