The Role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our core R&D team and build the next generation of AI-powered features that simplify global equity management.

You’ll design and deploy systems and agents that extract, understand, and act on complex financial and legal data - powering intelligent automation, document understanding, and decision support

across the Slice platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement ML and LLM-based solutions integrated directly into Slice’s product.
• Build and maintain production-grade data and model pipelines.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams to deliver user-facing AI capabilities and powerful data pipelines.
• Evaluate and optimize model performance for scalability, accuracy, and cost.
• Stay current with advances in LLMs, text analysis, and generative AI to guide product innovation.
  
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning or data science.
• Proven record of deploying ML systems to production.
• Strong skills in Python and Agentic frameworks (e.g., Langraph, PydanticAI).
• Experience with NLP/LLM architectures and text-extraction pipelines.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end - from research to production rollout.
• Excellent written English and collaboration skills.

• Experience with vector databases or RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with compliance, fintech, or document-intensive domains.
• Experience in cloud-based ML deployment (GCP preferred).
